How Long Does the Procedure Take?

The surgery itself is usually fairly straightforward, with the total procedure lasting around two-and-a-half to three hours. Breast reduction is done on an outpatient basis, which means that you will be discharged to head home and recover the same day.

This is usually a fairly easy recovery for most patients, though over-the-counter and prescribed medications are available to help mitigate discomfort as needed. For most patients, the most challenging part of breast reduction recovery is simply avoiding exercise, driving, or lifting your children for a week or so.

Other Things to Consider Before Getting a Breast Reduction
